Synopsis
 English 		In Book of the Dead you play as Kteth, a falcon-headed godling from Egyptian mythology, cast out of the divine realm after the great battle between Set and Horus. Now mortal and cursed with a deadly disease, your quest is to recover the lost Book of the Dead — an ancient manuscript that details how souls can journey back to the afterlife. Its fragments lie hidden on tomb walls, within sacred tomes, and in the minds of priests and spirits. Along the way, you must seek aid from other gods, overcome trials, and purify your soul to reclaim your divine nature before the curse consumes you.

Synopsis
 German 		In Book of the Dead schlüpfst du in die Rolle von Kteth, einem falkenköpfigen Gottwesen aus der ägyptischen Mythologie, der nach einem göttlichen Machtkampf zwischen Set und Horus aus der Götterwelt verbannt wurde. Nun musst du als Sterblicher auf der Erde leben, geplagt von einem Fluch, den Horus über dich gelegt hat. Dein Ziel ist es, das sagenumwobene Buch der Toten zu finden – ein uraltes Manuskript, das beschreibt, wie eine Seele nach dem Tod den Weg zurück in die andere Welt findet. Die Texte sind über Grabkammern, Schriftrollen und das Wissen von Priestern verstreut. Auf deiner Suche begegnest du anderen Göttern, die dir helfen oder dich prüfen, während du nach Heilung suchst und versuchst, dein göttliches Wesen wiederzuerlangen.
