 French 		Market Forces est un jeu basé sur l'offre et la demande. Au début de chaque manche, les joueurs reçoivent une analyse du marché et des indices sur les biens susceptibles d'être demandés. Cinq biens sont disponibles: maïs, bacon, café, jus d'orange et sucre. Chaque joueur décide de la quantité qu'il souhaite acheter et du prix auquel il souhaite l'acheter, mais ces informations restent secrètes. La quantité qu'un joueur reçoit dépend des achats effectués par les autres joueurs et des prix pratiqués. Si un joueur surenchérit, il remporte la totalité des biens. Les joueurs qui achètent plus qu'ils ne peuvent se permettre s'endettent et perdent s'ils ne peuvent pas rembourser leur dette. Lors de la phase de vente, les joueurs vendent leurs biens, les prix étant déterminés par l'offre et la demande. Les invendus sont perdus. La partie se déroule en six manches, et le joueur possédant le plus d'argent à la fin remporte la victoire.
