Allemand Prisoner of Ice, ein weiteres Spiel in Infogrames' Reihe von H. P. Lovecraft-inspirierten Spielen, die von Alone In the Dark gestartet wurden, versetzt Sie in die Rolle von Lt. Ryan, einem amerikanischen Agenten, der an Bord des U-Bootes H.M.S. Victoria auf einer Rettungsmission in die Antarktis. Die Victoria nimmt im Zuge der Bergung zwei mysteriöse Kisten auf. Bevor Sie es wissen, wird der Kapitän von der Fracht lebendig gefressen, einem schrecklichen Monster, mit dem Sie an Bord des U-Bootes gefangen sind. Und das ist erst der Anfang Ihrer Probleme.

Prisoner of Ice bietet eine sehr vereinfachte Version der klassischen Abenteuerspieloberfläche, bei der Sie mit dem Cursor linksklicken können, um ein Objekt zu bedienen, oder rechtsklicken, um es anzusehen. Das Programm lässt Sie nichts mit diesen Objekten tun, außer den wenigen geeigneten Aktionen, die erforderlich sind, um das Spiel voranzutreiben.

Anglais Another game in Infogrames' line of H. P. Lovecraft inspired games started by Alone In the Dark, Prisoner of Ice puts you in the role of Lt. Ryan, an American agent stationed aboard the submarine H.M.S. Victoria on a rescue mission to the Antarctic. The Victoria picks up two mysterious crates during the course of the rescue. Before you know it the Captain is eaten alive by the cargo, a horrific monster with whom you are trapped aboard the submarine. And that's just the start of your problems.

Prisoner of Ice features a very simplified version of the classic adventure game interface, where you can left click with the cursor to operate an object or right click to look at it. The program won't let you do anything with these objects, other than the few appropriate actions needed to advance the game.

Prisoner of Ice présente une version très simplifiée de l'interface classique des jeux d'aventure, où vous pouvez cliquer avec le curseur sur le bouton gauche pour manipuler un objet ou sur le bouton droit pour le regarder. Le programme ne vous permet pas de faire quoi que ce soit avec ces objets, à l'exception des quelques actions nécessaires pour faire avancer le jeu.
