Allemand Porky Pig's Haunted Holiday ist ein seitlich scrollendes Plattformspiel, in dem die Hauptfigur, Schweinchen Dick, sich nach links und rechts bewegen und springen kann. Außerdem kann die Hauptfigur in Ketten schwingen, klettern, durch Türen gehen und auf Blasen unter Wasser reiten. Wenn Schweinchen Dick auf einige Plattformen tritt, erscheint Daffy Duck und erschreckt ihn, so dass er in die Luft springt, um höher gelegene Orte zu erreichen. Feinde in einem Level können auf zwei verschiedene Arten besiegt werden: indem man auf sie springt oder indem man Früchte auf sie wirft. Früchte können von Schweinchen Dick nur geworfen werden, wenn eine Fruchtschale als Power-Up eingesammelt wurde.

Der Spieler wird mit einer Zwischensequenz in die Geschichte des Spiels eingeführt. Die Geschichte geht wie folgt: In der Nacht, bevor Porky Pig's Urlaub beginnt, geht er ins Bett. Während er schläft, hat er Albträume, in denen er verschiedenen gruseligen Gestalten begegnet. Um aufzuwachen, muss er alle Level des Spiels durchlaufen.
