In den mit sonderbaren Themen versehenen Minispielen und Szenarien muss unser Held versteckte "Alter-Egos" konfrontieren bzw. freisetzen, um erfolgreich zu sein. Bei den Minispielen handelt es sich ausnahmslos um pawlowsches Tastendrücken, sich wiederholende Spielmuster und recht einfache Tastenabfolgen. Gezeichnet in einem unbeständigen kindlichen Gekritzel, trägt die Grafik dazu bei, das Gefühl einer träumerischen Unterwelt zu vermitteln, die in ihrer Existenz zerbrechlich und scheinbar vergänglich ist.

Anglais When the protagonist of Bokomu no Tatsujin surrenders to the Sandman and drifts off to sleep, it's time to engage in a board game. Populated with strangely themed mini-games and scenarios, our hero gets to confront/unleash hidden "alter-egos" with which he can succeed. The mini games invariably involve Pavlovian button tapping, repetitive pattern matching, and fairly simple button sequencing to succeed. Drawn in a wavering childish scrawl, the visuals help to convey a feel of a dreamy netherworld, both tenuous and seemingly fleeting in it's existence.
