Français Bienvenue à Tôkyô, cette ville de verre à la beauté resplendissante d'une renommée internationale et aux habitants... frappés par une malédiction.

Nul ne peut sortir de l'enceinte de cette ville sans être automatiquement transformé en statue de verre et ainsi mourir dans d'atroces souffrances. Un seul moyen de se protéger du sort : prendre soin de porter un objet en verre sur soi et de revenir à Tôkyô avant minuit.

Hairi Lalique est une jeune fille résidente de Tôkyô. Malgré les avertissements de son grand-frère, elle ne peut s'empêcher de nourrir un intérêt pour l'extérieur de la ville. Un beau jour, vient à sa rencontre un étrange magicien lui confiant une paire de pantoufles de verres ainsi que le secret permettant de lever la malédiction pesant sur la ville : changer l'heure affichée sur la grande horloge de la ville, le Juge Astrolabe.
