He explains that the Inca people are dying of malaria and endangered by the European explorers. The jaguar is willing to transfer the hero to the past, where he/she will have to look for the cinchona plant and deliver it to the Inca king.

Français The Amazon Trail est un jeu vidéo éducatif. Dans cette aventure 2-D, le joueur doit partir en voyage pour l'Amazonie dans le but de rejoindre le village inca perdu de Vilcabamba. En chemin il en apprend plus sur les habitants et leur utilisation de la rivière nécessaire à leur survie. Ce jeu est connu surtout pour être significativement plus difficile que son prédécesseur « The oregon trail ». Il aura deux suites Amazon Trail II et Amazon Trail 3rd edition.
