Allemand Whip Rush ist ein Shoot'em Up, das 1990 für den Sega Mega Drive veröffentlicht wurde. Wie bei den Genre-verwandten Klassikern R-Type oder Gradius dreht sich beim Gameplay in Whip Rush ebenfalls alles um gute Reflexe und eine genaue Steuerung der Raumschiffe und Waffen. Denn nur wer mit hoher Präzision arbeitet, um gegnerische Einheiten zu zerstören und Power-Ups einzusammeln, wird schlussendlich den ultimativen Highscore erzielen.

Anglais Whip Rush is a side-scrolling (with certain vertically scrolling descents and ascents) shooter similar to Gaiares and R-Type.

You start with 3, 4 or 6 ships depending on the difficulty level you select.

In addition to moving and shooting, your ship has Power Claws that you can rotate and extend for offensive and defensive purposes. Power Claws can be equipped up to two units and can shoot bullets.

The upgradeable weapons are Laser, Missile, Fireball and Power Claw.

Laser is forward firing only but is rapid and strong, missiles can shoot back and forth and when shot from the Power Claw they will home in on enemies. Fireballs shoot in the opposite direction of your ships travel.

Unlike most other games, your ship has variable speed, which comes in handy when negotiating different kinds of obstacles and enemies.
Espagnol Whip Rush es un tirador de desplazamiento lateral (con ciertos descensos y ascensos de desplazamiento vertical) similar a Gaiares y R-Type. Empiezas con 3, 4 o 6 naves dependiendo del nivel de dificultad que elijas. Además de moverse y disparar, tu nave tiene Power Claws que puedes girar y extender con propósitos ofensivos y defensivos. Los Power Claws se pueden equipar hasta con dos unidades y pueden disparar balas. Las armas actualizables son Laser, Missile, Fireball y Power Claw. El láser solo dispara hacia adelante, pero es rápido y fuerte, los misiles pueden disparar hacia adelante y hacia atrás y cuando se dispara desde el Power Claw se enfrentarán a los enemigos. Las bolas de fuego disparan en la dirección opuesta al viaje de tus naves. Français Ce petit shoot à scrolling horizontal . Pas monotone pour deux sous, les scènes de jeu sont très variées et le level design clairement inspiré. Le jeu donne la part belle à l'évitement, avec des adversaires qui vont vous obliger à vous déplacer afin d'éviter leurs attaques qui ne limitent que rarement à de simples envois de boulettes.
Italien Nell'anno 2222, il nostro pianeta dovrà affrontare il problema della sovrappopolazione e la soluzione sarà cercare nuovi pianeti in grado di fornire la vita. Cinque anni dopo, l'equipaggio annuncia la scoperta del pianeta Voltegas, ma appare una nave aliena che decide di attaccare. Il gameplay si svolge in progressione orizzontale e tu controlli la nave Whip Rush, che deve attraversare la galassia per salvare la nave scomparsa. Con il tasto B spari ai nemici, con il tasto A controlli l'elica della nave. È possibile raccogliere potenziamenti per aumentare la potenza di fuoco.

Portugais No ano 2222, o nosso planeta enfrentará o problema da superpopulação e a solução para isso será buscar novos planetas que possam prover a vida. Cinco anos depois, a tripulação anuncia a descoberta do planeta Voltegas, mas uma nave alienígena aparece e resolve atacar. A jogabilidade acontece em progressão horizontal e você controla a nave Whip Rush, que precisa sair pela galáxia para resgatar a nave desaparecida. Com o botão B você atira nos inimigos, com o botão A você controla o propulsor da nave. É possível coletar power-ups para aumentar o poder de fogo.
