Allemand Nach Alexanders Flucht vor dem bösen Zauberer Manannan, seiner Rückkehr nach Daventry und der Rettung von Rosella vor dem dreiköpfigen Drachen in King's Quest III ist König Graham bereit, seine Abenteuerkappe an eines seiner Kinder weiterzugeben. Während die Mütze durch die Luft schleudert, wird Graham unerwartet von starken Schmerzen in der Brust getroffen und fällt zu Boden. Der Tod ist für Graham nahe, und während die königliche Familie über ihn wacht, zieht sich Rosella verzweifelt weinend in den Thronsaal zurück. In diesem Moment ruft sie eine Fee durch den Zauberspiegel. Die Fee Genesta bietet Rosella die Chance, ihrem Vater zu helfen. Im Land Tamir gibt es einen Zauberbaum, der alle hundert Jahre nur eine Frucht trägt, eine Frucht, die alle Krankheiten heilt und ihren Konsumenten ein langes, gesundes Leben ermöglicht. Die einzige Möglichkeit für Rosella, nach Daventry zurückzukehren, besteht jedoch darin, der Fee ebenfalls zu helfen. Genesta hat ihren lebensspendenden Talisman an die böse Fee Lolotte verloren, die in den Bergen von Tamir lebt.

Anglais Following Alexander's escape from the evil wizard Manannan, return to Daventry and rescue of Rosella from the three-headed dragon in King's Quest III, king Graham is ready to pass on his adventure cap to one of his children. While the cap flings through the air, Graham is unexpectedly struck by heavy pain in his chest and falls to the ground. Death is near for Graham and, while the royal family watches over him, Rosella retreats to the throne room, weeping in despair. At that moment a fairy calls her though the magic mirror. Fairy Genesta offers Rosella the chance to heal her father. In the land of Tamir there is magic tree which bears just one fruit every hundred years, a fruit which heals all disease and provides its consumer with a long healthy life. However, the only way for Rosella to be able to return to Daventry is by also helping the fairy. Genesta has lost her life-giving talisman to the evil fairy Lolotte, who lives in the mountains of Tamir. Rosella will have to infiltrate and gain Lolotte's trust to be able to recover Genesta's talisman, a task which will require the accomplishment of several dangerous assignments. Rosella will have to find a unicorn, a magic hen and Pandora's box and bring them to Lolotte. On her adventure she will confront ghosts, ogres, zombies, a mummy, witches and many more characters in this fourth installment of the King's Quest series. Time is of the essence. Rosella has just one day to help Genesta, find the fruit and return to Daventry to save her dying father.

Espagnol La historia comienza en el mismo punto en el que concluye la tercera parte. Alexander regresa a palacio con su hermana Rosella y conoce a sus padres, el Rey Graham y la Reina Valanice. Graham les dice entonces a sus dos hijos que ya es hora de pasar su clásico sombrero de aventurero a sangre más joven. Lanzará el gorro al aire y aquel de los dos que lo cace al vuelo se quedará con él. Graham lanza el gorro y en ese mismo momento se desvanece, víctima de un ataque al corazón. Su vida se apaga por momentos. Alexander y Valanice se quedan con él, pero Rosella es incapaz de aguantar la emoción y va a la sala del trono a lamentarse.
Entonces el espejo mágico se ilumina, y un hada llamada Genesta le comunica a través de él que si viaja con ella al reino de Tamir, podrá encontrar una fruta mágica que tiene el poder de curar cualquier enfermedad y de prolongar la vida humana. A cambio, tendrá que ayudar a Genesta a recuperar su talismán, pues sin él sus poderes y su vida se extinguirán. Sin el talismán, además, no podrá mandarla de vuelta a Daventry, y Graham morirá en 24 horas.
El talismán está en poder de la malvada bruja Lolotte, por lo que deberá arreglárselas para llegar hasta su castillo. Al hacerlo, será presa por las criaturas de Lolotte, pero será salvada por el horrible hijo de la bruja, Edgard, que le dice a su madre que quiere casarse con ella. Rosella deberá averiguar cómo escapar a esa proposición, librarse de Lolotte, y recuperar el talismán para devolvérselo a Genesta. Y además debe encontrar y hacerse con la fruta mágica. Todo ello en menos de 24 horas.

Français Le Prince Alexander ayant sauvé la Princesse Rosella d'un dragon, le Roi Graham lance en l'air son chapeau par enthousiasme d'avoir retrouvé son fils perdu et d'avoir sa fille sauvée. Mais il est soudain pris d'une crise cardiaque, et se retrouve dans le coma.

Rosella est terriblement affligée par la situation de son père. Une fée lui apparait, et lui apprend que le seul moyen de sauver son père est d'aller retrouver une pomme magique qui pourra le guérir. Rosella part donc à l'aventure.

nnRosella è terribilmente angosciata dalla situazione di suo padre. Una fata gli appare e gli insegna che l'unico modo per salvare suo padre è andare a cercare una mela magica che possa curarlo. Rosella va quindi all'avventura.
