Allemand Es war einmal ein älteres Ehepaar, das im Dorf Nagakushi lebte, einem kleinen Dorf weit oben in den Bergen. Das Paar hatte keine Kinder, bis ihnen eines Tages die Betreuung eines kleinen Jungen und Mädchens anvertraut wurde, wie es in einem Traum prophezeit wurde. Die Jahre vergingen, und als die beiden Kinder acht Jahre alt waren, ereignete sich in der westlichen Hauptstadt ein schrecklicher Vorfall. Plötzlich erschien ein böser Drache in der Stadt und verwandelte Menschen in Oni, Oger, die anderen Menschen die Seelen aussaugen. Die Oni rückten bis zum Dorf Nagakushi vor und stahlen dem älteren Paar die Seelen. Glücklicherweise blieben die beiden Kinder unverletzt und machten sich auf die Suche nach der Rettung ihrer Adoptiveltern, ohne zu ahnen, dass dieses Abenteuer das Geheimnis ihrer wahren Herkunft enthüllen würde ...

Anglais Once upon a time, there was an elderly couple living in Nagakushi village, a small village located far up in the mountains. The couple had no children, until one day, they were entrusted with the care of an infant boy and girl, as prophesied in a dream. The years went by, and when the two children were 8 years old, there was a terrible occurrence in the western capital. An evil dragon suddenly appeared in the city, turning humans into oni, ogres that suck away the souls of other humans. The oni advanced as far as Nagakushi village, stealing away the souls of the elderly couple. Fortunately the two children were left unharmed, and they set out on a quest to save their adopted parents, not realizing that this adventure would reveal the secret of their true origins...

Espagnol El juego se representa como otros juegos de aventuras para el sistema, como los asesinatos en serie de Portopia o Hokkaido, aunque con una presentación de cuento de hadas mucho más suave en lugar de una película de suspenso y crímenes. La historia del juego se basa en el popular folclore japonés de siglos de antigüedad, como la historia de Momotaro y los cuentos que representan a los Oni demoníacos y sus travesuras.

Los personajes originales creados para este juego serían referidos posteriormente por futuros productos de Nintendo con elementos retrospectivos, como Captain Rainbow o la serie Super Smash Bros (SSB Brawl incluso tenía una versión remezclada de la música de Shin Onigashima para la etapa Ice Climbers).[Disk 2]

L'oni avanzò fino al villaggio di Nagakushi, rubando le anime dell'anziana coppia. Fortunatamente i due bambini sono rimasti illesi e si sono messi alla ricerca per salvare i loro genitori adottivi, senza rendersi conto che questa avventura avrebbe rivelato il segreto delle loro vere origini...
