You, a nameless young man living in Paleo, Mota's capital, are commanded to go to the labs and check the issue. Your friend Nei, a semi-human girl, goes with you, and other brave adventurers join you on what starts with a simple mission but develops into saving the entire world...

This is the first Phantasy Star game for the Genesis, set in a futuristic world. The turn-based combat allows you to choose between "fight", where the characters simply attack physically for one turn, and "strategy", where you can choose from several sub-commands, to defend, to use a special technique, or to run from the battle. Instead of magic there are "techniques", that require the usage of TP (technique points).
Espagnol En un planeta avanzado llamado Mota, los experimentos para crear criaturas biomecánicas salen mal y una de ellas amenaza a los humanos. Tú, un joven sin nombre de la capital Paleo, junto a tu amiga semihumana Nei y otros valientes, debes investigar los laboratorios y acabar salvando el mundo. Este Phantasy Star para Genesis ofrece combates por turnos con ataques físicos o técnicas especiales que consumen puntos de TP.

Français Phantasy Star II sur Console Virtuelle est un jeu de rôle dont les combats se déroulent au tour par tour. Accompagné de 3 autres soldats, le héros Rolf Landale se voit assigner une nouvelle mission par le chef du gouvernement de la planète Mota. Il doit enquêter sur Mother Brain, le super ordinateur construit pour tout diriger mais qui semble justement échapper à tout contrôle.
