Du wählst einen von acht Fahrern aus dem Pilzkönigreich, von alten Bekannten wie Mario und Bowser bis zu Donkey Kong Jr., der hier seinen einzigen Serienauftritt hat. Auf klassischen Rennstrecken wie Marios Piste, Bowsers Festung, Koopa-Strand und dem berüchtigten Regenbogen-Boulevard kannst du dann gehörig Gummi geben.

Du kannst allein fahren oder dir ein Kopf-an-Kopf-Rennen mit einem Freund liefern. Anschließend kannst du ihn im allseits beliebten originalen Wettkampf-Modus herausfordern.

Using Mode 7 scaling, the first true kart game on the SNES has you collecting coins to boost your speed while using shells and bananas to stop others on the track.

There are 4 cups in all to race for, Mushroom Cup, Flower Cup, Star Cup and Special Cup, each with a selection of tracks to race on (based in Bowser's Castle, Super Mario World and more). Plus, a 2 player battle mode is on offer, where the first to pop the three balloons wins.

Français Super Mario Kart sur la Console Virtuelle Wii est un jeu de courses reprenant l'univers et les personnages de Mario. Après avoir choisi un pilote parmi les huit proposés, lancez-vous dans les quatre coupes différentes pour essayer d'atteindre la plus haute marche du podium. Grâce à des bonus ramassés sur le circuit, tous les coups sont permis, à commencer par le largage de peaux de bananes et l'envoi de carapaces. Le mode Battle permet d'ailleurs d'affronter les autres à coups de carapaces.
