Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong y Baron K. Roolenstein se enteran del concurso, y los Kong se disponen a dejar a Dixie Kong con su prima, Kiddy Kong. Dixie quiere demostrar que es tan valiosa como los demás participantes, por lo que decide participar en el concurso y lleva a Kiddy con ella. Kiddy no es tan consciente de lo que está pasando y decide seguir a Dixie a la jungla.

Il s'agit d'un portage couleur du jeu Donkey Kong Land III (sorti sur Game Boy en monochrome en 1997)qui est inspiré de Donkey Kong Country 3 : Dixie Kong's Double Trouble ! sur Super Nintendo même si ses évènements se situent juste après cet épisode. On retrouve les personnages que sont Dixie, Kiddy et Wrinkly dans 42 niveaux issus de 6 mondes différents.
