Allemand Das Spiel folgte weitgehend der Handlung des Films Star Trek Generations. Die Spieler steuern ihr Schiff aus der Ego-Perspektive, bewegen sich zwischen Markierungen oder nutzen Phaser und später Photonentorpedos, um feindliche Schiffe anzugreifen. Stehende Levels werden aus der Top-Down-Perspektive gespielt und beinhalten entweder Phaser-Kämpfe oder das Durchqueren von Labyrinthen. Die restlichen Level bestehen aus einfachen Rätseln wie dem Zuordnen von Symbolen.

Anglais Beyond the Nexus is based on the seventh Star Trek film, where Captains Kirk and Picard join forces to stop a scientist intent on destroying a populated planet to reenter the mysterious Nexus energy ribbon.
The game features several play styles. Starship combat places you on the bridge of the Enterprise‑B or Enterprise‑D, navigating through space and firing phasers or photon torpedoes at foes such as Tholians, Klingons, and Romulans. Another mode has you steering the ship through floating rectangles to reach your destination.
Away missions switch to a top‑down view where you control a single character and use a phaser against enemies.
Two puzzle modes round out the gameplay: one involves decoding symbol combinations through logic, and the other requires rerouting power by building a continuous path on a grid, similar to Pipe Mania.

Français Le jeu a vaguement suivi l'intrigue du film Star Trek Generations.Les joueurs dirigent leur vaisseau du point de vue de la première personne , se déplaçant entre les marqueurs ou utilisant des phasers et des torpilles à photons plus tard pour attaquer les vaisseaux ennemis. Les niveaux sur pied sont joués d'un point de vue top-down et impliquent soit un combat de phaser, soit un cheminement en labyrinthe. Les niveaux restants consistent en de simples puzzles tels que l'appariement de symboles.
