Allemand Pokemon Schwarze Version und Pokemon Weiße Version bieten neue Pokemon, die die Spieler im Laufe des Spiels fangen, trainieren und bekämpfen können, wobei einige Pokemon nur in einer Version des Spiels gefangen werden können. So kann beispielsweise das legendäre Pokemon Reshiram nur in der Pokemon Schwarze Version gefangen werden, während das legendäre Pokemon Zekrom nur in der Pokemon Weiße Version gefangen werden kann. Außerdem gibt es in beiden Spielen zum ersten Mal in der Serie unterschiedliche Gebiete, wobei die Spielwelt von Pokemon Schwarze Version ein einzigartiges Stadtgebiet namens Schwarze Stadt und ein üppiges, grünes Gebiet namens Weißer Wald umfasst, das es nur in Pokemon Weiße Version gibt. Pokemon Schwarze Version und Pokemon Weiße Version markieren auch zum ersten Mal in einem Pokemon-Videospiel, dass sich die Jahreszeiten in der Spielwelt ändern werden. Bestimmte Pokemon treten zu verschiedenen Jahreszeiten häufiger auf, und die Spieler können nur während einer bestimmten Jahreszeit einige Gebiete betreten.

This is Pokémon White Version. The types and likelihood of Pokémon that will appear differ from Pokémon Black Version. This game can communicate, battle, and trade only with the various language versions of Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version. After completing the main story, you can communicate with Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, and SoulSilver Versions (English-language versions only) to transfer Pokémon to this game. Pokémon transferred in this way cannot be sent back. This game is not compatible with the Pokéwalker accessory. Basic reading ability is needed to fully enjoy this game.

Espagnol Pokémon Edición Negra y Pokémon Edición Blanca ofrecen tanto a los fans como a los nuevos jugadores una gran aventura y, por vez primera en la serie, cada uno de los dos juegos propone una zona propia por explorar. Ambientado en la región de Teselia, localizada lejos de las conocidas regiones de Kanto y Johto, ambos juegos presentan lugares llenos de acción, como la zona urbana de Ciudad Porcelana. En Pokémon Edición Negra y Pokémon Edición Blanca, el jugador tiene dos misiones principales. La primera consiste en completar la Pokédex de Teselia encontrando y capturando a todos los Pokémon de la región. Para ello, los jugadores tendrán que intercambiar Pokémon de ambas ediciones. La segunda misión consiste en convertirse en el Campeón de la Liga Pokémon luchando con los Pokémon salvajes y con otros Entrenadores de la región. Los jugadores entrenarán a sus Pokémon con la intención de hacerse un hueco en el Alto Mando y ser el Campeón de Teselia.

Italien Pokémon Versione Nera e Pokémon Versione Bianca offrono sia ai fan che ai nuovi giocatori una grande avventura e, per la prima volta nella serie, ciascuno dei due giochi offre la propria area da esplorare. Ambientati nella regione di Unima, situata lontano dalle famose regioni di Kanto e Johto, entrambi i giochi presentano luoghi ricchi di azione, come l'area urbana di Porcellana City. In Pokémon Versione Nera e Pokémon Versione Bianca, il giocatore ha due missioni principali. Il primo è completare il Pokédex di Unima trovando e catturando tutti i Pokémon della regione. Per fare ciò, i giocatori dovranno scambiare i Pokémon di entrambe le edizioni. La seconda missione è diventare il campione della Lega Pokémon combattendo i Pokémon selvatici e altri Allenatori della regione. I giocatori alleneranno i loro Pokémon con l'intenzione di ottenere un posto nell'Alto Comando e diventare il Campione di Unima.
