Allemand Ihr steckt in der Person des Assassine Lin Kuei der geschickt wird ein wichtiges Dokument zu stehlen. Anglais In a surprising twist of fate, Midway made a Mortal Kombat game that focuses on perhaps the series strongest point when compared to other fighting games: it's storyline. The game casts you in the shoes of Sub-Zero, and chronicles a series of events that ocurred prior to Mortal Kombat 1.

In a storyline that is reminiscent of Looking Glass's Thief, the Lin Kuei assassin/thief is sent to steal an important document; this mission proves to be a test from a mysterious character (which turns out to be MK4's Quan Chi) and who charges you upon retrieval of this object to recover an ancient medallion of untold power. However once you retrieve the medallion, Quan Chi reveals that he actually tricked you, and the medallion is the key to awakening the demonic Shinnok (yup, the same baddie from MK4). You must now become a reluctant hero, as you pursue Quan Chi trough hell itself hoping you get to Shinnok before him.

Français Contrairement aux autre opus de la serie Mortal Kombat, MKM: Sub-Zero n'est pas un jeux de combat classique mais un beat them all agrémenté de phases de plate-forme et de réflexion où l'on doit se servir d'objets particuliers pour pouvoir progresser dans l'aventure. On dispose d'une jauge de vie ainsi que d'une jauge de glace pour se servir des pouvoirs cryogéniques de Sub-Zero qui se remplit avec le temps. La maniabilité est celle d'un Mortal Kombat.

Il gioco ti mette nei panni di Sub-Zero e racconta una serie di eventi accaduti prima di Mortal Kombat 1.In una trama che ricorda il ladro di Looking Glass, l'assassino / ladro di Lin Kuei viene inviato per rubare un documento importante; questa missione si rivela un test da parte di un personaggio misterioso (che risulta essere il Quan Chi di MK4) e che ti carica al recupero di questo oggetto per recuperare un antico medaglione di indicibile potere. Tuttavia, una volta recuperato il medaglione, Quan Chi rivela che in realtà ti ha ingannato, e il medaglione è la chiave per risvegliare il demoniaco Shinnok (sì, lo stesso cattivo di MK4). Ora devi diventare un eroe riluttante, mentre insegui Quan Chi attraverso l'inferno stesso sperando di arrivare a Shinnok prima di lui.

Portugais Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero é o primeiro jogo de plataforma e o primeiro jogo Single Player da franquia Mortal Kombat, tendo sido lançado em 1997 para Sub-Zero encontra a fortaleza de Quan Chi, e dentro derrota suas assassinas pessoais: Kia, Jataaka, e Sareena. Sub-Zero decide poupar a vida de Sareena e segue à Pirâmide de Shinnok. Nintendo 64. O protagonista deste jogo é Sub-Zero, presente desde as primeiras versões do jogo de luta.

O jogo acontece em um formato que mescla briga de rua com rolagem lateral e com jogo da propia franquia em gráficos 2D pré renderizados, a violência marca da série permanece.
