Anglais Activision's Aliens (1986) is a first-person tactical strategy game where the player remotely commands six Marines through a sprawling 255-room complex to locate and eliminate the Alien Queen. Acting as an operations commander, the player switches between characters in real time, using helmet-cam views and smart guns to navigate, fight, and survive. Each Marine occupies one room at a time and can scan in full 360°, requiring careful coordination and safe positioning before switching control. Doors can be sealed to slow enemies or destroyed to advance, while alien bio-mass must be eliminated to prevent facehugger spawns. Combat is risky—Aliens are drawn to gunfire and leave deadly acid pools when killed. Captured Marines can be rescued, but failure means permanent loss. Resources like ammo, health, and stamina are limited, requiring strategic trips to the armory and med bay, while maintaining power by protecting or repairing the facility's generator adds another layer of tension.
