Allemand Nachdem der vom Spieler gelenkte Space Marine aus der Hölle entkommen ist, begibt er sich zurück zu seiner Heimat auf die Erde. Dort muss er feststellen, dass die Dämonen auch hier schon die Oberhand gewonnen haben, und so macht er sich auf, die Erde vor den Geschöpfen der Hölle zu bewahren. Nachdem alle übrigen Menschen auf ein Raumschiff evakuiert wurden, macht sich der Spieler auf, um das Portal zu finden, durch das die Dämonen auf die Erde gelangt sind. Als er dieses schließlich im Herzen seiner Heimatstadt gefunden hat, stellt er fest, dass es sich nur von der anderen Seite aus verschließen lässt, und so betritt er ein weiteres Mal die Höllendimension, um die Erde zu retten.
Anglais In this sequel to the original Doom, you play the same hero - the last remaining space marine. After having single-handedly saved Mars from demonic threat, you return to Earth, only to find out that the demons have already invaded it, killed most of its inhabitants or possessed them. It's your task to bring down the force field around the last operational star port to allow the remnants of mankind to escape to the stars.Doom II looks and plays very similarly to its predecessor, utilizing the same 3D graphical engine with 2D sprites for enemies. The game play once again consists entirely of navigating the hero from first-person view through 3D environments and shooting at the demons while attempting to find your way out by flipping switches and looking for keys. Unlike in Doom, which is divided into three episodes, the 30 levels of Doom II (plus the 2 secret levels) form one long episode. Doom II adds one new weapon to the players arsenal; the super shotgun, several new demon types with more advanced attacks than those of the first Doom, such as the chaingun-toting Heavy Weapon Dudes, the skeletal Revenants who launch homing missiles and the sinister Arch-Viles who have a highly damaging fire attack.
Espagnol Doom II: Hell on Earth es un videojuego de disparos en primera persona para computadora publicado en 1994 por la empresa desarrolladora ID Software que marcó un hito en la historia de los videojuegos y fue reconocido, en su época, como el mejor de su género. Influyó notablemente en las siguientes generaciones de videojuegos en 3D.

El juego es la continuación directa del título Doom, también realizado por ID software. Aquí, la acción no se lleva a cabo en las lunas de Marte Phobos y Deimos, sino en el planeta Tierra invadido por criaturas del infierno debido a la apertura de un portal interdimensional; de ahí el subtítulo del juego, Hell on Earth.

El juego contaba con 30 niveles más dos secretos, ambos eran recreaciones de niveles del videojuego Wolfenstein 3D, creado también por ID Software en 1992, pero estas recreaciones incluían los enemigos propios de Doom además de los clásicos soldados de Wolfenstein 3D. Para superar el nivel 32 era necesario eliminar a cuatro Commander Keen, personaje protagonista de la saga homónima de juegos de plataformas 2D creada por ID Software.
Français Doom II est un jeu de tir à la première personne sur PC. Vous incarnez un space marine qui arrive sur Terre pour s'apercevoir que les démons ont envahi la planète. Le jeu propose de nouvelles armes telles que le super shotgun ainsi que de nouveaux ennemis plus dangereux.
Portugais O jogo Doom original é dividido em episódios, com isso a nomenclatura dos mapas era ExMy (Episódio x, Mapa y), mas a partir de Doom II (e todos os títulos da série baseados neste novo formato) o jogo segue uma ordem linear de 32 mapas (sendo 30 "convencionais" e 2 secretos) sem divisão em episódios e classificados sob a nomenclatura MAPxy (onde o "xy" é simplesmente o número do mapa desejado).
