Anglais Super Street Fighter II is a sequel to Street Fighter II Turbo and Street Fighter II Championship. The game features four new characters and stages, making a total of sixteen playable. It also features many multiplayer modes in addition to the single player mode. Among those is the returning elimination group battle, where players compete for the title of the champion, and Point Battle, where the person with the most points wins. Newer modes include an eight-man double elimination tournament and a Challenge mode, where players attempt to get the most points on a CPU opponent or beat them as fast as possible, trying to surpass records.

Français Super Street Fighter II est une suite à Street Fighter II Turbo et Street Fighter II Championship. Le jeu comporte quatre nouveaux personnages et stages, ce qui amène à un total de seize personnages jouables. Il dispose également de nombreux modes multijoueurs en plus du solo. Parmi ceux-ci, il y a le group battle elimination, où les joueurs s'affrontent pour le titre du champion, et Point Battle où la personne ayant le plus de points gagne. Les nouveaux modes incluent un tournoi en double élimination à huit joueurs et un mode Défi, où les joueurs tentent d'obtenir le plus de points sur un adversaire CPU ou de les battre le vite possible, afin de battre les records.
