Teil 1:
Der Friede im schönen Alefgard wurde zerstört durch das Erscheinen des ruchlosen Herrschers der Nacht, der als der Dragonlord bekannt ist. Jetzt liegt es an dir, einem jungen Krieger, in dessen Adern das Blut des legendären Helden Erdrick fließt, den Dragonlord zu bezwingen und das Land vor der Dunkelheit zu retten!

Teil 2:
Ein Jahrhundert ist vergangen, seit die Nachfahren des Helden von Alefgard die drei neuen Nationen geformt haben. Doch der Frieden hat nicht gehalten. Der schurkische Hohepriester Hargon hat Dämonen beschworen, die das Land wieder an den Rand des Abgrunds führen.

Teil 3:
Am Morgen deines sechzehnten Geburtstags wird dir vom König selbst eine schier unmögliche Aufgabe übertragen: In die Fußstapfen deines Vaters Ortega, dem Helden des Landes Aliahan, zu treten und den Erzfeind Baramos, Herr der Dunkelheit, zu besiegen! The peace of fair Alefgard has been shattered by the appearance of the nefarious master of the night known as the Dragonlord, and the Sphere of Light, which for so long kept the forces of darkness in check, has been stolen! It is time for you, a young warrior through whose veins flows the blood of the legendary hero Erdrick, to set out on a quest to vanquish the Dragonlord, and save the land from darkness!
Dragon Quest II
A century has passed since the events of the first DRAGON QUEST, during which time the descendants of the hero of Alefgard have forged three new nations. But the peace they have known is no more. Demon hosts summoned forth from the darkness by High Priest Hargon have brought the land to the brink of ruin once again. Now, the young prince of Midenhall must set out to find the other two descendants of Erdrick so that together they might defeat the nefarious Hargon and restore peace to their world.

On the morning of your sixteenth birthday, you are charged with a seemingly impossible task by the King himself: to assume the mantle of your father Ortega, hero of the land of Aliahan, and slay the Archfiend Baramos, master of darkness! Ha pasado un siglo desde lo sucedido en el primer DRAGON QUEST. En este tiempo, los descendientes del héroe de Alefgard han forjado tres nuevas naciones. Pero la paz que ellos conocen ha desaparecido. Hordas de demonios portados desde la oscuridad por el sumo sacerdote Hargon han llevado de nuevo el mundo a la ruina. Ahora, el joven príncipe de Midenhall deberá encontrar a los otros dos descendientes de Erdrick para intentar derrotar juntos al perverso Hargon y restaurar la paz en el mundo.

La mañana de su decimosexto cumpleaños el hijo de Ortega, el héroe de Aliahan, recibe del mismísimo Rey un encargo aparentemente imposible: ¡acabar con el archienemigo Baramos, señor de la oscuridad! ¿Con qué peligros se topará nuestro intrépido héroe al embarcarse en una misión que ni siquiera su valeroso padre fue capaz de cumplir?
