Im Jahr 2100 n. Chr. wurden die Menschen durch ihre eigene selbstzerstörerische Natur ausgerottet und hinterließen die Folgen der Umweltzerstörung auf der Erde. Sie waren gezwungen, auf den Mars zu fliehen und einen Bio-Computer für die Umweltsanierung der Erde zu hinterlassen, um den blauen Planeten für eine zukünftige Wiederbesiedlung vorzubereiten. Doch eines Tages, ein halbes Jahrhundert nach der Ankunft der Menschen, wurde der Mars von seltsamen Flugobjekten angegriffen. Um diese Feinde zu bekämpfen, organisierte der Generaldirektor der Verteidigungsagentur die Task Force Armee und begann schnell den Nahkampf mit den Eindringlingen, um die Invasion zu neutralisieren.

At the year 2100 A.D. Humans were exterminated by their own self-destructive nature leaving behind the consequences of environmental degradation on earth and were forced to escape to Mars leaving a bio-computer for environmental recuperation of earth to preparing the blue planet for future recolonization. But one day a half a century after humans arrived, mars was attacked by strange flying objects. To fight these enemies, the director general of the Defence Agency organized the task force army and started quickly the dogfight with invaders to neutralize the invasion.

The operation was called 'Acrobat Mission' as it exceeded the technical limits of the pilots.

The players takes controls on one of two surviving fighters pilots, 'Jet' a male pilot and 'Nova' a female pilot and both flying the Icarus, a fast and powerful space-fighter, which comes equipped with a Standard laser. Two more weapons are available throughout the game - the wide shot (W) which spreads out in front of the ship and the Hurricane shot (H) which fires clusters of rotating balls of energy. Holding the fire button charges up a special attack and each weapon features a different energy blast and damage factor. The ships can also hold a maximum of two smart-bombs, one under each wing - although they can be activated by the players, they also do fall off easily and can be detonated by enemy shots. Interestingly, the Icarus can't collide with other ships or any part of the scenery - instead, it bounces off and only suffers damage from enemy shots. However, once the shield is depleted, the ship will fly out of control for a few seconds and grant the players a last chance to inflict damage to any remaining enemies before it explodes.

Espagnol Acrobat Mission es un juego de arcade vertical de disparos lanzado por UPL en 1991, licenciado a Taito para su fabricación y distribución. Fue trasladado a Super Famicom en 1992.

Los jugadores comienzan el juego equipado con un Tiro Estándar. Otras dos armas son seleccionables, una de las cuales es el Tiro de Onda (anunciado como Wide en la versión Arcade). El Tiro de Onda es un tiro de dispersión que aumenta en tamaño, número y fuerza. Cuando se carga, el Tiro de Onda puede desencadenar un rayo láser de corto alcance, pero potente que aumenta en ancho y fuerza cuando se recogen los iconos de Onda. El otro arma es el Hurricane Shot, un arma única de efecto área que rodea la nave en el sentido de las agujas del reloj cuando se dispara antes de volar hacia adelante. Cuando se carga, el Hurricane Shot dispara una bola de energía a través de la pantalla, pero hay un retraso de un segundo cada vez que se dispara el disparo.

Cada vez que el jugador es golpeado, su nave se moverá salvajemente fuera de control. Una vez que esto suceda, aparecerá un temporizador cerca de la nave que indica cuánto tiempo tiene la nave hasta que explote. La explosión de la nave del jugador dañará a los enemigos cercanos. Además, debido a que el Ícaro está aparentemente bien construido, cualquier enemigo kamikaze u objeto a la deriva que lo toque no dañará o destruirá la nave del jugador, permitiendo al jugador un movimiento menos restrictivo.

Français Acrobat Mission est un petit shoot them up vertical, aux graphismes simples et colorés rappelant parfois un cartoon. Les armes resteront peu variées (vague, tonerre, charge, bombe) et le jeu facile. Les musiques trop répétitives agacent aussi. Enfin testez, vous aimerez peut-être.

Italien Acrobat Mission è un piccolo sparatutto verticale, con una grafica semplice e colorata che a volte ricorda un cartone animato. Le armi rimarranno invariate (onda, toner, carica, bomba) e il gioco sarà facile. Anche la musica troppo ripetitiva è fastidiosa. Infine provatelo, potrebbe piacervi.
