Allemand Bahamut Lagoon ist ein Videospiel, das von Square entwickelt wurde. Es wurde nie offiziell außerhalb Japans veröffentlicht, aber dafür von einer Gruppe Anhängern übersetzt, die sich DeJap nennt. Von japanischen Fans wird es oft als Bahalag bezeichnet. Obwohl das Spiel keinerlei Bezug zur Final Fantasy- Serie besitzt, enthält es doch einige Elemente der Serie, wie das wohlbekannte Aufrufen von Beschwörungen. Während seiner Entwicklung wurde das Spiel ursprünglich Final Fantasy Tactics getauft; ein Name, der einige Jahre später für ein PlayStation- Spiel gebraucht wurde. Bahamut Lagoon und Final Fantasy Tactics besitzen eine ähnliche Spielmechanik. Zur Handlung: In dem Land Orelus kämpft das Reich Granbelos, unter der Führung von Imperator Sauzer, um die Vorherrschaft. Das Königreich von Kahna konnte lange Zeit dank seines Wächters, dem Drachen Bahamut (mit dem nur Mitglieder der Königsfamilie Kahnas kommunizieren können), Widerstand leisten. Doch Bahamut fiel eines Tages in einen tiefen Schlaf, was zu einer Großoffensive seitens Granbelos auf Kahna führte. Ein Teil der Überlebenden aus Kahna gründete daraufhin zusammen mit einigen Söldnern eine Widerstandsgruppe. Sie überfliegen mit ihrem Luftschiff Fahrenheit die Lufträume Orelus' und versuchen dabei, die Länder zu befreien. Im Verlauf der Handlung stolpern sie dabei in einen größeren Handlungszusammenhang, der das Ende der Welt bedeuten könnte.

The king sends his best troops of knights and wizards to face the enemy, but in vain - the kingdom is conquered by Sauzer, the king is murdered, and his lovely daughter is kidnapped. The brave leader of the Dragon Squad remembers the promise he gave the princess a long time ago: always be at her side. Supported by his friends and his faithful dragons, he must now free the princess and the kingdom from the enemy's hands. If only the strongest of the dragons, Bahamut, could be awakened...

Bahamut Lagoon is a tactical role-playing game. The player controls several parties of four characters each, and commands different dragons at once.
