Allemand Im Gegensatz zu vielen Lord of the Ring-Spielen wurde dieses Spiel tatsächlich viele Jahre vor dem LotR-Hype produziert und basiert auf dem Buch und einem älteren Film. Obwohl der Titel vermuten lässt, dass es mehr Bände geben sollte, wurden die anderen beiden nie produziert.

In diesem Spiel spielst du Frodo Beutlin, einen Hobbit. Das Spiel beginnt an Bilbos 111. Geburtstag. Ihre erste Aufgabe ist es, Pippin zu finden. Bei deiner Suche musst du den Ring nach Bruchtal bringen. Sie beginnen alleine, aber später werden Sie andere dazu bringen, sich Ihnen bei Ihrer Suche anzuschließen, wie Sam und Gandalf.

Das Spiel wurde ursprünglich für das NES entwickelt, aber die Veröffentlichung wurde verschoben und später für das SNES angepasst. Aufgrund des ursprünglichen Spieldesigns sind die Grafiken etwas NES-ähnlich und es werden nicht alle Tasten des Controllers verwendet. Die Cartridge enthält keinen RAM/Akku, Spiele können nur gespeichert werden, indem man sich einen Code merkt. Der Code muss später in das Spiel eingegeben werden, um fortzufahren.

Anglais Unlike many Lord of the Ring games this game was actually produced many years before the LotR hype and based on the book and an older movie. Though the title suggests there should be more volumes, as far as I know the other two where never produced.

In this game you play Frodo Baggins, a Hobbit. The game starts off at Bilbo's 111 birthday. Your first quest is to find Pippin. In your quest you will need to take the Ring to Rivendell. You start alone, but later on you will get others to join you in your quest, like Sam and Gandalf.

The game was originally designed for the NES, but release was hold off and later on adapted for the SNES. Because of the original game design graphics are somewhat NES like and not all buttons of the controller are used. The cartridge does not contain any RAM/battery, games can only be saved by remembering a code. The code must later be entered into the game to continue.

Os eventos que ocorrem no jogo correspondem aproximadamente àqueles descritos no primeiro volume da trilogia O Senhor dos Anéis, embora o jogo termine antes dos capítulos finais do primeiro livro. O jogador assume o controle de Frodo Baggins, que deve encontrar companheiros para sua missão. Os locais do jogo, os objetivos individuais, as missões e as missões são estruturados de maneira bastante diferente daqueles do lançamento do computador. A maioria das missões envolve a recuperação de itens para vários NPCs, avançando assim a narrativa.
