Français Secret of Mana est le deuxième épisode de la série Seiken Densetsu sur Super Nintendo. Un jeune garçon fait une chute près d'une cascade de son village. A son réveil, il découvre une épée plantée dans un rocher. Lorsqu'il retourne au village, les habitants sont attaqués par des monstres et l'arme du garçon est désignée responsable de ces agression. Le jeune homme est alors chassé et livré à lui-même dans une grande aventure qui l'amènera à rencontrer de nombreux autres personnages.

Ma quando le forze del male presero il controllo della Fortezza del Mana, non ci fu altra via d'uscita che una guerra che distrusse la civiltà basata sul Mana, ma che alla fine portò la pace tra le persone. Gli eventi del passato divennero solo leggende per la nuova generazione di umani. Ma la storia si ripete... Un giorno, un giovane ragazzo del villaggio trova una spada arrugginita sul fondo di un fiume. Non sa che questa spada è la famosa spada di Mana, quella che ha vinto tante battaglie in passato. Estraendo la spada dal fondo del fiume, il ragazzo evoca involontariamente orde di mostri e viene espulso dal suo villaggio. Un misterioso cavaliere Jema è l'unico uomo che lo aiuta e gli dà istruzioni per il futuro. Prima deve riparare la spada e poi, con il suo aiuto, prendere il controllo dei semi di Mana che si trovano in otto grandi castelli.
