Nun bricht Saburo nach New York auf, um den Besitz und die Andenken seines Großvaters zu sortieren.
Doch die Freude über das Wiedersehen mit alten Freunden und seiner alten Heimat verfliegt jäh, als er entdeckt, dass sein Großvater ein letztes Wort hinterlassen hat: „Daedalus“.
Was hat das zu bedeuten?
Wer hat ihn umgebracht?

Von Kyosukes Weisheiten über die Kunst des Denkens bleiben nur noch verblassende Erinnerungen.
Doch der junge Jinguji Saburo beschließt, den Fall für sich und seinen verstorbenen Großvater aufzunehmen.

Saburo se marcha a Nueva York para revisar las pertenencias y los recuerdos que dejó su abuelo. Sin embargo, la nostalgia del paisaje urbano y las reuniones con viejos amigos son fugaces.Pronto descubre que la última palabra de su abuelo fue "Daedalus".

En effet, il ne tarde pas à découvrir que le dernier mot prononcé par son grand-père est "Daedalus".
