Allemand Kei ist Computeringenieur. Eines Tages betritt er ein Cybercafé. Während er seine E-Mails überprüft, bemerkt er eine unbekannte E-Mail mit einem Anhang. Dies führt ihn zu einer Seite namens „Cat's Eyes“. Dort sieht er einen Film über die Ermordung eines Mannes. Er misst dem Spiel keine Bedeutung bei, sondern betrachtet es als ein Spiel zum Zeitvertreib. Am nächsten Tag sieht er in den Fernsehnachrichten genau denselben Mord.
