Anglais Choujin Gakuen Gowcaizer, also known as Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer is a 1995 superhero-themed head-to-head fighting game produced by Technos Japan Corp. for the Neo Geo arcade and home console. It was the company's third attempt at a fighting game after the success of Capcom's 1991 arcade-hit Street Fighter II, following the 1992 Family Computer title Nekketsu Kakuto Densetsu, and the Neo Geo fighting game version of Double Dragon. It features character designs by artist Masami Obari, who previously worked on the anime adaptations of the Fatal Fury series. Ports of the game were released for the Neo-Geo CD and PlayStation (Japan only).
In 1995 it appeared on the Neo Geo then in 1997 it was ported over to the PSX by Urban Plant. Its a VERY RARE game to get hold of now since there never was a reprint of it.
Exclusive PSX features:
- A new full motion anime intro.
- A new 3d mode.
It seems like 70% of the sprite animations are missing compared to the arcade version.
The PSX exclusive 3D mode is pointless and at best a novelty. The backgrounds and characters are still 2D but the camera moves around. The background is basically a wallpaper on a black background and everything looks very tacky indeed.

Espagnol n 1999 un masivo terremoto asoló Tokio, matando a casi toda la población y obligando al gobierno a mover su capital a una isla artificial frente a la costa de Japón, donde durante años vivieron en paz. Sin embargo, en el año 2017 la violencia comienza a entrar en erupción entre los ciudadanos casualmente cuando llega un nuevo director al Instituto Nacional Belnar, la universidad más grande de la isla. A la vez un estudiante llega también con el nombre de Isato Kaiza, quien en secreto es el héroe del juego Gowcaizer. Él llega con una piedra que puede manifestar la energía que le permite transformarse. Con esta piedra, debe descubrir el origen del mal y traer la paz de vuelta a Japón.

Es un juego de lucha 2D (uno contra uno). El jugador puede elegir entre 10 personajes diferentes, cada uno con sus propios movimientos y habilidades únicas. Una de las características de este juego es la posibilidad de añadir una habilidad de enemigos derrotados para tu propio repertorio, sin embargo, sólo puedes hacer un movimiento a la vez y si decides un movimiento, el anterior es perdido para el resto del juego. Además, cuando el jugador derrota a su imagen en el modo espejo se amplificará su movimiento. El jugador se enfrentará a cada oponente dos veces en un estilo de torneo antes de llegar al jefe final en el final del juego.

Il présente des dessins de personnages de l'artiste Masami Obari, qui a précédemment travaillé sur les adaptations animées de la série Fatal Fury. Des ports du jeu ont été publiés pour le CD Neo-Geo et PlayStation (Japon uniquement).En 1995, il est apparu sur la Neo Geo puis en 1997, il a été porté sur la PSX par Urban Plant. C'est un jeu TRÈS RARE à se procurer maintenant puisqu'il n'y a jamais eu de réimpression de celui-ci.
