Anglais Much like Mario Party and Crash Bash, Sonic Shuffle has Sonic and his team playing a board game style tournament, where mini-games are at every turn.

Each character has a group of cards with a number on each. On every turn the player chooses a card to determine how many steps to take. When all of the cards have been used the deck is reshuffled, and each player gets a new hand. While a player can see only the numbers on their own cards, and not the numbers on other players' cards, they can still choose the cards of another player.

Each board has certain tiles: blue adds 3 rings to your total; red removes 3 rings from your total and special tiles which places all of the players into a min-game or event.

The aim of the game, at the end of it all, is to get the Precioustone (1 per board).

Français Sonic Shuffle est un party-game sur Dreamcast. Sur un plateau contenant jusqu'à quatre joueurs, vous contrôlez un personnage issu de l'univers Sonic, se déplaçant en fonction des cartes que vous choisirez. La case sur laquelle vous vous trouvez lance des mini-jeux ou d'autres actions venant pimenter la progression sur le plateau.
Italien Sonic Shuffle è un party game su Dreamcast. Su un tabellone contenente fino a quattro giocatori, controlli un personaggio dell'universo di Sonic, muovendoti in base alle carte che scegli. La casella in cui ti trovi avvia minigiochi o altre azioni per rendere più piccante i progressi sul tabellone.

Portugais Muito parecido com Mario Party e Crash Bash, Sonic Shuffle tem Sonic e sua equipe jogando um torneio no estilo de jogo de tabuleiro, onde os mini-games estão em cada turno. Cada personagem tem um grupo de cartas com um número em cada. A cada turno o jogador escolhe um carta para determinar quantos passos andar. Quando todas as cartas tiverem sido usadas, o baralho é reorganizado e cada jogador recebe uma nova mão. Quando um jogador puder ver somente os números de seus próprias cartas, e não os números das cartas dos outros jogadores, eles ainda podem escolher as cartas de um outro jogador. Cada tabuleiro tem certas casas: as azuis adicionam 3 anéis ao seu total; vermelhas removem 3 anéis de seu total e casas especiais que colocam todos os jogadores em um mini-game ou evento. O objetivo do jogo, no final de tudo, é obter o Precioustone (1 por tabuleiro).
