Beglaiten sie Simba durch 10 atemberaubende level bis zum ultimativen kampf um die königswürde mit seinem bösen onkel Scar. Besiegen sie heimtückische hyänen auf dem Elefantenfriedhof, weichen sie den hufen der wilden büffel in der stampede-szene aus dem film aus, und spielen sie die bonuslevel als einer von simbas freunden, das warzenschwein oder die meerkatze!
Die partnerschaft von Disney Software und Virgin Interactive Entertainment hat zusammen mit Sega ein spiel hervorgebracht, das neue standards in animation und interaktiver unterhaltung setzt.

Anglais Young Simba just can't wait to be king. His father is the current King of the Savannah and the young prince is able to frolic the lands at will; jumping on and around other subjects of this animal kingdom. When Simba's father, King Mufasa, is killed and his evil brother Scar takes over the kingdom, Simba is banished from the lands of his birthright and has to grow up fast, honing his skills, for the day of his return.

The Lion King, based on the famous Disney movie, is a platform game where you control Simba - initially as a young cub, and later as an adult lion. The plot of the game follows the plot of the movie. Each of the levels represents a part of the movie.

As young Simba, you can fight various beasts, such as lizards, by jumping on them. You can also roar to scare some creatures into submission, though every time you roar, you have to wait for your "roar meter" to charge.

As an adult lion, you can still roar and jump, but now you fight enemies by slashing at them with your claws (if you're skillful enough, you can also grab them and toss them off the screen).

The game features no in-game save function, and it needs to be replayed from the beginning every time.

Français Le Roi Lion est l'adaptation sur Game Gear du film de Disney sorti en 1994. Vous parcourez la savane avec Simba, de son plus jeune âge jusqu'à son retour dans la tribu des lions à l'âge adulte. Tous les personnages et passages du film sont présents, de même que les musiques qui permettent aux nostalgiques de plonger pleinement dans l'univers d'un des classiques de Disney.

Portugais O rei Mufasa está cheio de alegria. O seu filho Simba está a aprender rápidamente todas as lições necessárias para poder tornar-se no novo rei e todos os animais estão confiantes no sucesso do pequeno herdeiro. Bem, pelo menos quase todos...

Scar, o invejoso irmão de Mufasa, preparou uma terrível armadilha para acabar com o Rei e o seu filho, o que o tornará, desta forma, no sucessor ao trono. Por enquanto, este plano deu certo. Mufasa não conseguiu sobreviver à armadilha e o pequeno Simba, sentindo-se culpado da morte do seu pai, fugiu do reino para nunca mais voltar.

Com o passar do tempo, Simba aprendeu a filosofia do "Hakuna Batata" e percebeu que a bravura e inteligência do seu pai ainda estavam vivas...nele mesmo. Resolveu então lutar pela coroa que era dele por direito e tu vais ajudá-lo nesta incrível aventura.

Serão 10 níveis de muita acção, onde acompanharás o crescimento de Simba e irás enfrentar, com inteligência e habilidade, todos os perigos que o afastaram do trono por tanto tempo. Derrota Scar na derradeira batalha e torna-te, enfim, no novo Rei Leão.
