Allemand Roland's Ratrace begleitet den TV-Star Roland Rat, der zu spät zur Arbeit kommt, während sein Auto den Dienst verweigert. Also musst du ihn durch die Abwasserkanäle Londons steuern, bevor die Zeit abläuft und er gefeuert wird. Zu allem Überfluss wurden auch noch seine Freunde entführt, die du retten musst. Das Spiel ist ein Flickscreen-Plattformer mit mehreren Ebenen, Leitern und Ausgängen, von denen einige in den Bildschirm hineinführen. Ziel ist es, Türstücke und einen Schlüssel zu sammeln, um die große Tür am Ende der Kanalisation zu öffnen und das Innere Heiligtum zu erreichen, in dem Rolands Freunde gefangen sind.

Anglais Roland's Ratrace follows TV star Roland Rat, who is late for work while his car refuses to start. You must guide him through London's sewers before the time runs out, or he'll lose his job. To make matters worse, his friends have been kidnapped and must be rescued. The game is a flickscreen platformer with multiple levels, ladders, and exits, some of which lead deeper into the screen. The goal is to collect door pieces and a key to open the large door at the end of the sewer, leading to the Inner Sanctum where Roland's friends are held.
