Anglais „Firefly“ is an action-packed shoot-'em-up game where the player, as the commander of the Firefly, must destroy an enemy “mechanical system framework.” The playing field is displayed as a grid of sectors, with the ultimate goal of reaching and annihilating the power source on the far right. Some sectors containing planets are impassable, while unoccupied areas can be bypassed by skillfully maneuvering through the alarm system. In occupied zones, the game becomes a classic shoot-'em-up, allowing free movement in two dimensions while engaging in combat with enemy units. Teleporters can be used for quick travel between areas. If the ship takes too much damage, it explodes, causing the player to lose a life before re-entering the action.
