Allemand „Transformers“ spielt auf einer von formwandelnden Alien-Robotern besetzten Erde, die sich in einen Kriegsschauplatz verwandelt hat. Der Kampf zwischen den heldenhaften Autobots und den bösen Decepticons dreht sich um Energie – das Ziel ist es, vier Teile des Energon-Würfels zu sammeln und zur Autobot-Basis zu bringen. Die Decepticons versuchen mit aller Kraft, dies zu verhindern und die Würfel für ihre eigenen Zwecke zu nutzen. Der Spieler steuert fünf Autobots, die sich zwischen Roboter- und Fahrzeugform verwandeln können. In der Roboterform ist es möglich, zu laufen oder zu fliegen, während die Fahrzeugform das Fahren über die Plattformen ermöglicht. Mit der Defensa Pod kann zwischen den Autobots gewechselt werden. Sobald alle Würfel gesammelt sind, beginnt das Spiel erneut mit einem höheren Schwierigkeitsgrad.

Anglais "Transformers" takes place on an Earth occupied by shape-shifting alien robots, turning the planet into a battlefield. The war between the heroic Autobots and the evil Decepticons revolves around energy – the goal is to collect four pieces of the Energon Cube and return them to the Autobot base. The Decepticons will do everything in their power to stop this and use the cubes for their own purposes. The player controls five Autobots, which can switch between robot and vehicle form. In robot form, they can walk or fly, while in vehicle form, they drive across the platforms. The Defensa Pod allows switching between Autobots. Once all cubes are collected, the game restarts – with an increased level of difficulty.

Français Transformers se déroule sur une Terre envahie par des robots extraterrestres métamorphes, transformant la planète en champ de bataille. La guerre entre les héroïques Autobots et les maléfiques Decepticons est liée à l'énergie: le but est de rassembler les quatre fragments du Cube d'Energon et de les ramener à la base Autobot. Les Decepticons feront tout pour les en empêcher et utiliser les cubes à leurs propres fins. Le joueur contrôle cinq Autobots, capables de passer de la forme robot à la forme véhicule. Sous forme robot, ils peuvent marcher ou voler, tandis que sous forme véhicule, ils se déplacent sur les plateformes. Le Defensa Pod permet de changer d'Autobot. Une fois tous les cubes collectés, la partie redémarre avec un niveau de difficulté accru.
