Allemand Die Geschichte von Super Star Wars basiert auf Episode IV: Eine neue Hoffnung, dem ersten Film der originalen Star Wars Trilogie. Der Spieler kontrolliert zunächst den Haupthelden des Films, Luke Skywalker, wobei später zwei weitere spielbare Charaktere hinzukommen: der lässige Kapitän Han Solo und sein Wookie-Kumpan Chewbacca.

Das Spiel folgt zum Großteil der Filmgeschichte, sodass der Spieler einige der wichtigsten Sequenzen nachspielen kann, wie beispielsweise die Suche nach Obi-Wan Kenobi, die Rettung von Prinzessin Leia, oder den letzten Kampf gegen den Todesstern und seine Tie-Jäger, angeführt von dem mysteriösen Darth Vader.

Anglais The story of this game is based on Episode IV: A New Hope, the first of the original Star Wars movie trilogy. The player initially controls the movie's main hero, Luke Skywalker, but two more controllable characters join later: the careless captain Han Solo and his Wookie side-kick, Chewbacca. The game generally follows the movie plot, allowing the player to experience some of the most important sequences, such as the search for Obi-Wan Kenobi, rescuing princess Leia, and the final confrontation against Death Star and its TIE Fighters, led by the mysterious Darth Vader.

Most of the game levels follow traditional platform gameplay style. As Luke, Han, or Chewbacca, the player makes his way through the linear levels, fighting enemies, jumping over obstacles, and collecting power-ups. The power-ups include standard health-restoring items, upgrades for the blaster gun , as well as special items that can be used for massive destruction of the enemies.

Espagnol Al principio del juego, únicamente podemos controlar a Luke Skywalker, aunque en fases más avanzadas tendremos la posibilidad de manejar a Han Solo y a Chewbacca. Del mismo modo, en estas primeras fases Luke no contará ni con el sable de luz ni con los poderes de la fuerza. Cuando por fin encontremos a Obi-Wan Kenobi y nos haga entrega del sable láser, Luke podrá luchar tanto con la pistola como con la espada, además de que poco a poco irá aprendiendo los poderes de la fuerza, que nos serán de mucha utilidad a lo largo de la aventura. El objetivo de cada nivel será llegar sano y salvo al final de la fase y acabar con el jefe final respectivo al que nos toque enfrentarnos. Otro detalle que destaca de este título es la gran variedad de niveles que tiene, entre los que se incluyen las fases típicas de plataformas y acción y una especie de simulador de vuelo para algunos niveles.
