Allemand Shining Force Gaiden: Final Conflict ist chronologisch zwischen der ersten und zweiten Episode der auf Game Gear veröffentlichten Serie angesiedelt. Es ist immer noch ein strategisches Rollenspiel, bei dem der Kampf im Vordergrund steht. Dieses Mal müssen Sie und Ihre kleine Gemeinschaft gegen die Hexe Mishaela kämpfen, die die Kontrolle über die Mächte des Bösen übernommen hat.

Anglais One of the three gaiden (side-story) Shining Force games for GameGear. The events of the game take place in a time period between the first and the second mainstream Shining Force games. After Max, the leader of the first Shining Force, defeated the Dark Dragon, peace was restored to the world. However, the sorceress Mishaela took control over the forces of evil. Pursuing her, Max' comrades got injured and were forced to quit. Upon returning back to their hometown, they found out Mishaela has already taken the Elder hostage. Lead by the young warrior Ian, the Force has to find Max and to defeat Mishaela.

The game is a strategy RPG with gameplay similar to other Shining Force games. You control a large party of warriors (you can choose the characters yourself from many available). The game consists mainly of large strategic turn-based battles, in which you navigate your characters around and attack the enemies physically, or cast area-based spells.
Espagnol Max, el líder de la Shining Force emprende la búsqueda de Mishaela (sirviente del villano presumiblemente muerto Darksol, del mismo juego). Uno de los compañeros de Max, el robot Adam, sale seriamente herido de una de las batallas con Mishaela. La tropa de Max se detiene para ayudar al robot, y solo Max y su compañero Ridion siguen la búsqueda.
Desafortunadamente, Max y Ridion nunca regresan. Liderados por un hombre llamado Ian, los ex compañeros de Max emprenderán su búsuqeda, econtrando a su paso situaciones inesperadas...

Tercero de la saga Shining Force GAiden y resulta ser la secuela de Shining Force ("The Legacy of Great Intention") y la precuela de Shining Force II ("Ancient Sealing").
